All who are thirsty, and all who are weak…
So the semester is winding down and I don’t know about you, but I could sure use some rest. It is at times like these, and especially after hearing Ande’s talk last night, that I am reminded of Matthew 11:28, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Wouldn’t it be great if for once we could lay aside our independence to fall at the feet of our Jesus and be totally dependent on him? My challenge to all of you this week is to find one instance in your daily lives where you are trying so badly not to need God, and depend soley on him for that one thing. This is not an easy task I realize, but I think it’s worth a try. Maybe it’s your future career, your future spouse, your relationship with boy/girl, school, a promotion at work, your friendships, your families, finances, your relationship with God…whatever it is, ask God to cripple you so that you have no where to turn but Him. Be dependent on Him. Find rest in Him.
